Johnston City- Teddy Williams, 91, of Johnston City, passed away at 3:29 PM, Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at Herrin Hospital.

Teddy was born on January 18, 1935 in Johnston City, Illinois to Henry J. and Arlie Dean (Avery) Williams.

After finishing barber school, he spent 55 years as a Barber at "Pose's Barbershop" in Johnston City.

He was Baptist by faith and enjoyed spending time with family and working with wood whenever he was able. He enjoyed watching "In The Heat Of The Night" and old westerns like "Gunsmoke".

He is survived by his sons- Bruce Williams and wife Dianne of Herrin, Gregory Williams of Johnston City and Dale Williams and wife Lisa of Herrin; 3 grandchildren- Dameon Williams of Johnston City, Ramsay Millikin and husband Matt of Herrin and Jordan Williams and wife Ashley of Herrin; 7 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother- Dan Williams and sister- Wanda Childers.

He will be cremated and inurned on his family plot in Herrin City Cemetery at a later date. Memorial arrangements were entrusted to McCluskie Funeral Home in Herrin.
