Herrin- Steven Ray Ford, 68, of Herrin, formerly of Springfield, MO, passed away at 10:19 AM, Thursday, August 22, 2024 at the Marion Veterans Administration Hospital in Marion.

Steven was born on November 24, 1955 in Kansas City, MO to Raymond T. and Vivian (Gladwill) Ford.  He attended high school in Richmond, MO and then enlisted in the United Stated Marine Corp.  He served his country and was honorably discharged.

He began a long career as an over the road truck driver for various carriers until his retirement.

Steven was a Christian and enjoyed time spent outdoors fishing for whatever was biting, riding Harley Davidson Motorcycles and listening to classic rock and roll.  He enjoyed going to car shows and spending time with his family.  He spent time at the American Legion and was a former Jaycee member.

Survivors include his daughters- Stacey Ford of Brownsville, TX and Heather (Aye) Jonh of Bunker Hill, IN; stepchildren- Tiffany (John) Harrison of Carterville, IL, Angela Duer of Springfield, MO and Tim Failla of Green Valley, MO and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and son- Steven T. Ford.

Steven will be cremated.  Memorial arrangements were entrusted to McCluskie-Miller Funeral Home in Herrin.
