Obituary

Sesser- Eulah I. "Granny" Sartor, 91, of Sesser, formerly of Pikeville, KY, passed away at 12:13 AM, Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at her home.

Eulah was born on March 4, 1934 in Pikeville, KY to Leonard Monroe and Cynthia Ann (Fife) Steffey.

She was a wonderful and lifelong cook who owned Granny's Kitchen in Sesser for many years. She was a Christian and attended Sesser Church of Christ when she could.

She enjoyed time spent with her large family, listening to southern gospel music and cooking delicious meals for her friends and family.

Granny is survived by two daughters- Deborah Counts of Sesser and Tyann Thacker of Eldorado; son- Gregory Meeks of Oceana, West Virginia; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; sister- Kay Horton of Andersonville, TN as well as many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter- Tammy McMillion , 2 grandchildren and 15 brothers and sisters.

The Family would like to especially thank Mandy, Paula and Carol from Hospice of Southern Illinois for the compassionate care given to their PRECIOUS mother.  They were truly a blessing.

She will be cremated and taken back to Kentucky for inurnment. Memorial arrangements were entrusted to McCluskie-Miller Funeral Home in Herrin.
