Earlene McCluskie, 86, of Marion, IL, known for her big heart and zest for life, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2026, due to natural causes. Born on August 2, 1940, in Marion, she spent her life surrounded by family and friends, making lasting memories along the way.

Earlene dedicated many years of her life working as a clerk in retail, notably at Sears, where she built connections with both customers and coworkers. She was a proud mother to her son, Jeff McCluskie, and a loving grandmother to Tabitha McCluskie-Cederholm, Joshua McCluskie, and Bethany Arnold. Her family grew even larger with the arrival of her great-grandson, Gabriel McCluskie-Cederholm. Earlene is also survived by her siblings, Mary Hudgens and James Krumery.

Earlene found joy in traveling with her family, spending time outdoors, and cherishing quiet moments on her back porch. She had a passion for riding horses and loved hitting the open road on her Harley Davidson motorcycle with her husband. She embraced life's adventures and appreciated the beauty of nature, often watching wildlife in her backyard.

Earlene will be missed by all who knew her, but her spirit will live on through her family and the memories they shared.

A memorial service to celebrate Earlene's life will be determined in the upcoming weeks. All family and friends are welcome to join in honoring her memory. Details about the service will be provided soon.

Earlene's wishes for cremation will be honored. In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations to a charity close to her heart, ensuring her legacy continues to make a difference.

Earlene was preceded in death by her husband- Jerry McCluskie and parents- Earl Krumery, Mildred (Short) Krumery.
