Donald E. "J.R." Conner, 52, of Royalton, passed away at 6:22 PM, Friday, August 29, 2025 at his home.

J.R. was born on August 6, 1973 in Herrin to Connie (Doolin) Rogers.

J.R. was a beloved family member with a special love for his daughter and grandchildren. He was a passionate pool player, enjoyed working on cars, and was a master on the grill and smoker. His wonderful sense of humor could light up any room and will be deeply missed.

He was a hardworking man and a jack of all trades. He loved spending time outdoors mushroom hunting and fishing. He was a member of the Three Rivers BCA Pool Club and the APA.

He is survived by his mother- Connie Rogers of Christopher; daughter- Allie Conner and fiance John Taylor of Coeburn, VA; grandchildren- Macie and Kylie Taylor of Coeburn, VA; sister- Becky Uraski and husband Paul of Royalton; brother- Louis Conner of Royalton and nephews- Jacob and Joseph Uraski of Royalton.

A BBQ celebrating the life of J.R. Conner will be held on Saturday, September 6th, from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Italian Club/9056 Main Street/ North City, IL 62825 in Coello. Guests are invited to bring a pot luck style dish and are invited to share photos of J.R. with Allie Conner, Becky Uraski or January Green for the photo board.
