Herrin- Clark Erb, 78, of Herrin, formerly of Laureldale, PA, passed away at 1:40 PM, Sunday, May 12, 2024 at the Marion Veterans Administration CLC.

Clark was born on September 15, 1945 in Sassamansville, PA to Linwood and Edith (Hoffman) Erb.  He was a veteran of the United States Navy having served bravely overseas during the Vietnam War.  Once honorably discharged he returned home and enjoyed the time he had with family and friends.  He was of Lutheran Faith.

He was a personable and outgoing man who never met a stranger.  He was a hardworking man who used his personality and skills to tend bars at various locations; most recently at "Clover Park" in Shillington, PA.

In his free time he liked to play cards and watch sports.  He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.

Survivors include his two sons- Linwood "Woody" ERb and wife Dawn of Herrin and Michael Erb and wife Michelle of Pahrump, NV, nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, one sister- Joan Wachlin and husband Albert of Philadelphia, PA.  Also surviving are several nieces and nephews and cousins.

Clark's wish was to be cremated and a private family graveside service will be held at St. Paul's Church Cemetery in Sassamansville, PA.  Memorial arrangements were entrusted to McCluskie -Miller Funeral Home in Herrin.

Memorial donations are suggested to St. Jude's Children's Hospital and will be accepted at McCluskie-Miller Funeral Home/501 S. 12th/ Herrin, IL  62948.
